MALLORY CHIPMAN
"...Stunning...on another level...Mallory’s approach opens up previously unexplored ways of thinking about melody. Some of the finest folk-rock currently being made."
- Amplify Music Magazine
Award-winning singer-songwriter, Mallory Chipman, has never shied away from making music outside the box. Her genre-bending tendencies, powerful sound, and story-driven songwriting has been described as “some of the finest folk rock currently being made” (Amplify Music Magazine) and has set her apart as “a rising light in Canadian music” (NewTec Radio). No stranger to the road, Mallory has toured internationally, and released five records to her name both as a solo act and with her side projects, Mallory Chipman & the Mystics and The Goddamsels, all of which have seen noteworthy Canadian radio charting. Most recently, she released an EP written based on birdsong melodies of Alberta birds entitled As Though I Had Wings that charted in the National Folk/Roots/Blues charts Top Ten. Alongside her performance work, Mallory was named the Edmonton Public Library’s inaugural Musician in Residence in 2023, and was celebrated as a member of Edify Magazine's Top 40 Under 40, Class of 2023 for her boundary-pushing musical innovation and pedagogy.
